Kathmandu has become the fourth most air-polluted city in the world. According to IQAir, which monitors air quality worldwide, Kathmandu's air pollution was measured at 170 AQI as of 7 AM.
Neighboring India's capital, Delhi, ranks as the most polluted city, with an AQI of 201, making it the most polluted city globally. Similarly, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, ranks second, with an AQI of 170 recorded in the morning.
Lahore, Pakistan, holds the third position, with an air pollution level of 190 AQI.
The Department of Environment has forecasted that air pollution in Kathmandu is expected to increase further till Tuesday night.
